About these terms
These terms apply when you use the optional community in Daystreak and Daystreak Countdown or on daystreak.net. They are an agreement between you and Thinksview, Level 6, Menara Genesis, No. 33, Jalan Sultan Ismail, Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, alongside each app’s own terms (Daystreak, Daystreak Countdown). The community privacy notice explains how we handle your data.
Who can take part
You must be 18 or older to sign up, publish, send encouragement or use a custom profile. Anyone can read reviewed public content. The community is not available in mainland China and, for now, in the European Economic Area, Switzerland or the United Kingdom; we may limit it elsewhere where the law requires. Making items private, exporting and deleting your data remain available everywhere.
One community identity covers both apps and the website. It is your Google or Apple sign-in, so keep those accounts secure: anyone who controls them can manage your shared content. You can add a second sign-in method in My sharing.
Live cards and stories
When you share a record, you publish a live card, not a one-time snapshot. Its number, dates, pauses, colour and icon update automatically from your record. Title, description and photo changes are reviewed before they replace the approved version, which stays visible meanwhile.
Memoryline stories are shared separately, one story at a time. Later edits to notes you shared are sent for review; new notes are never added without asking.
Your content and our licence
You keep the rights to what you share. You give Thinksview a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, review, convert the format of (for example resize or re-encode) and display that content in Daystreak, Daystreak Countdown and on daystreak.net while it is public. The licence ends when you make the item private or delete it, apart from copies others already saved and backups that expire on schedule.
We do not offer your content to search engines, reuse it for advertising or use it to train AI models.
Only share what you have the right to share, including the consent of anyone shown or named.
Community rules
Follow the community guidelines: share your own lived experience, be kind, respect other people’s privacy, and do not post illegal, harmful, sensitive or infringing content.
Review and decisions
New cards and stories, text and photo changes, custom names and photos are reviewed before they become public. We may reject, hide or remove content, or limit an account, when it breaks these terms, the guidelines or the law. We tell you the reason in the app or in My sharing. To appeal, email [email protected].
Reports, blocking and encouragement
Anyone can report a card, story or encouragement, with or without an account. You can block an author: their encouragement disappears from your records and they can no longer encourage you.
Encouragement has daily limits. If 3 different people report someone’s encouragement within 7 days, that person’s sending is paused automatically until a moderator reviews it. They can appeal by email.
Rewards
Where offered, sharing a record can unlock extras for that record only, such as a custom background or Memoryline editing. Rewards are optional, apply per record and last only while that card stays public; they stop if it becomes private or is deleted, and your saved photos and Memorylines stay. Premium includes the same features without sharing. Purchases are independent of the community and are not affected by making items private or deleting them.
Making items private and deleting
You can make any card or story private, delete it, or delete your whole community identity at any time, free and without giving a reason, in the apps or in My sharing. Making a card private also hides its stories. Uninstalling an app does not make anything private. Copies others saved may remain. Deleting community data does not cancel store subscriptions.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend or end your participation if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms or the guidelines, or if the law requires it. We may change, pause or end the community; we will try to tell you in advance, and you can still export or delete your data. Your private records in the apps are not affected.
Disclaimers and liability
The community is provided as it is and as available. Counts and stories are written by their authors and are not verified. To the extent the law allows, Thinksview is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for content posted by others. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow us to limit, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When a change is material, the apps and this website ask you to review and accept the new version before you share or encourage again; until then you can still manage, make private, export and delete what you shared.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. If you are a consumer, this does not take away the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim in your local courts where the law allows.
