Which apps
This page is for the community in Daystreak and Daystreak Countdown by Thinksview, and on daystreak.net. One community identity covers both apps and the website.
How to delete
- In the app: open Settings → My sharing → Delete community identity.
- On this website: sign in below with the same Google or Apple account, then choose “Delete my community data”.
- By email, if you can’t sign in: email [email protected] with links to your public cards or stories. Without a sign-in we can’t confirm the identity is yours, so we can hide or delete that content, but we can’t export it or move it to another account.
What is deleted
Once the server confirms the deletion, all your public cards, stories, your public profile and your encouragement disappear from Daystreak, Daystreak Countdown and daystreak.net, and every device is signed out. Your Firebase sign-in records are deleted too.
Reward backgrounds and Memoryline editing earned by sharing stop; your photos and Memorylines stay saved on your device. This can’t be undone: signing in later with the same Google or Apple account starts a new, empty identity.
What is kept, and for how long
| Data | Kept for |
|---|---|
| Content of deleted items | cleared within 7 days |
| Photos | physically deleted usually within an hour, at most 24 h |
| Sessions | removed 30 days after expiry or sign-out |
| Report details | until resolved, then removed within 30 days |
| Moderation log | 90 days |
| Consent, terms and deletion records | 3 years after the identity is deleted, then removed |
| Minimal tombstone (random IDs and dates, no link to any sign-in account) | kept so deleted content cannot reappear |
| Database backups | up to 30 days |
| Service logs | up to 7 days |
| Firebase sign-in records | deleted with the identity (Google keeps backups up to 180 days) |
Copies other people saved, such as screenshots, are outside our control. Details are in the community privacy notice.
Delete only some data
- Make a single card or story private: it leaves Discover and the website right away, and a private copy stays in your account for up to 30 days so you can publish it again. Or delete it at once.
- Remove encouragement you sent, switch your profile back to anonymous, or turn notifications off in the app.
- Download your data first from My sharing if you want a copy.
What this does not touch
Records on your devices, iCloud sync and your phone’s backups are separate: delete them in the app, or by uninstalling it. Purchases and subscriptions stay with your App Store or Google Play account; deleting community data does not cancel them.
