“Our first date” and “The day we said yes” can be two separate counters, each starting from its own date.
Set it up, step by step
- Decide which beginning you want to remember. Use a specific date you both recognize instead of changing the start date whenever a new milestone arrives.
- Create an event in Daystreak with a title that makes sense to you: “Our first date,” “Together since,” or “Married life.”
- Choose a quiet theme, or add a favorite photo with Premium. Keep enough contrast for the day count to be readable on a small widget.
- Keep the counter on your Home Screen. Use a share card for a milestone, and add the next anniversary in Countdown if you want a forward-looking reminder too.
Make it work for your everyday
A yearly anniversary and a round day-count milestone are different. One year is not always the same number of days because of leap years.
The beginning of the relationship remains the start date. Create another event for a wedding or moving in together instead of replacing your original memory.
Agree on whether you mean elapsed days or “day one” when comparing numbers with another app. Different counting conventions can explain a one-day difference.
